Track Positioning

Positioning is deciding the order in which songs will appear on a recording or in the course of a live performance.

Sometimes the nature of the song will determine where it’s positioned. A song called "Farewell" is more likely to appear at the end of an album, for example.

Some artists have written a poem, then used each line as a track title. This is one way to make an album feel more like a cohesive song cycle, not just a mere compilation of songs.
